Since Matthew Leclerc graduated from Lake Forest College’s Business Administration program about 15 years ago, the son of this auto dealer has been compounding new concepts to improve the customer experience in his industry. Its latest innovation is once again changing the car sales paradigms.
After launching the TradeHelper platform in 2012, Mathieu is doing it again with the tool AutoGogo.ca. This new online platform was launched last fall and it allows consumers to sell their cars without hassle and above all without pressure.
Simple and intuitive operation
How it works ? The consumer only has to fill out the form provided online to describe his vehicle. In addition to providing the brand, model, and PIN, the consumer must answer a series of questions about describing his property. What is his condition? Is this a non smoking car? Is the windshield damaged? “Once we have all that information, we can, in less than five minutes, send him an offer,” Matthew Leclerc points out. He is a member of Groupe Leclair, and is also a shareholder in the company.
“As long as the customer didn’t lie – Which happens by chance very rarely, he says. –Usually, the latter gets the quoted price. In some cases, negotiations increase. »
Mathieu Leclair emphasizes that the platform offers a fast, easy and transparent purchasing service. He insists, “Our unique technology allows users to get a guaranteed 72-hour competitive offer instantly.” The amount displayed to the customer is calculated. “It does not matter whether the car has been paid in full, or if it is linked to a lease or ongoing financing, a consumer who comes to one of our three branches can leave with a check in less than 60 minutes.”
“In fact, we provide transaction facilitation for the sale of vehicles. Whether at our Laval branch, our Longueuil branch or our new address in Quebec, our agents are there to simplify all administrative procedures, including registrations and links with creditors, not to mention check delivery.” AutoGogo.ca .
Who are the main customers? So far, the company has repurchased the car from consumers who bought a Tesla. “A California automaker generally doesn’t trade in its customers’ cars,” he says. There are also couples who decide to keep only one car at home, customers who are in financial difficulty and consumers who simply want to sell their current car while waiting for the one they ordered, Matthew Leclerc continues.
Thousands of vehicles per year
At least one of the five proposals ended in agreement, the entrepreneur notes. During the month of March, AutoGogo.ca repurchased more than 225 vehicles.

To achieve this goal, AutoGogo.ca intends to expand rapidly throughout the province. Two more addresses should open by the end of 2022. Targeting the cities of Trois-Rivieres and Sherbrooke. But it’s a safe bet that the city of Gatineau will be part of the plan within the next few months. “This will help us conquer the Ontario market through the neighboring city of Ottawa,” Matthew says. He says the company prefers strategic locations in order to be on the road to nearby dealerships.
Finally, the vast majority of vehicles are resold within Groupe Leclair dealerships, Chomedey Hyundai, Honda Île-Perrot and Honda Blainville, Hyundai Plainville, Subaru Rive-Nord, in Boisbriand, as well as two used vehicle centers in Laval and Boisbriand. Matteo concludes that other vehicles that are not part of our niche are being resold on other platforms.
