Don’t go to the break who wants … At BMW, the M5 had this privilege, in 1991 and 2005, but never the other flagship of the German company, the M3. This is an injustice that was fixed with the M3 breather round. But without excitement: with the real name “BMW M3 Competition M xDrive Touring”, the beauty is available for less than 111,950 euros, excluding various options and penalties.

Sports and Diversity

The station wagon version of the sporty M3, announced that the great rival to the Audi RS4 will please fans of the brand with a fan who wanted to be able to reconcile sportiness and versatility. They won’t be disappointed with this model that manages to maintain the same length as the sedan that marries it to its dress.

The look of a bodybuilder

The Breakout version has the same sporty and muscular look as the M3, although we clearly notice changes, such as the extended roofline, very well drawn, which releases more volume. This M3 Touring is immediately distinguished by its double vertical grille and wider fenders than those found in a sedan. How can we not also notice the huge air intakes at ground level? Looks like the separator is ready to swallow the road.

“The Touring version retains the famous 510 hp V6 twin-turbo engine.”

BMW has opted for 19-inch alloy wheels at the front and 20 inches at the rear, from which the signature BMW M brake calipers stand out. What about the trunk? Here it reaches 500 liters, or even 1510 liters with the rear seat folded down. No doubt: the M3 M xDrive Touring is a true station wagon!

For mechanics, no wonder. The Touring version retains the famous 3.0-liter V6 twin-turbo engine that delivers 510 hp. Moving on to a chassis break does not slow down the model, which only shows a slight weight gain of 85kg, or 1,940kg on the scale. A nice little gadget: the M xDrive all-wheel drive transmission can switch to drive mode according to the wishes of the driver …

The standard equipment of the station wagon is largely inspired by the complete and luxurious catalog of the M3 sedan.

Sedan-inspired equipment

As for the sophistication of equipment, there was no revolution compared to the sedan. However, there is a large horizontal digital tablet offered as standard that combines the 12.3-inch hardware screen and the 14.9-inch infotainment screen. For the rest, the station wagon’s standard employment is largely inspired by the M3 sedan’s catalog. Fans of the brand should not remain indifferent to the grumpy look and high performance of this luxury station wagon.
